On our farm these are a fan favorite. These are by far the nicest chickens we have in our flock. They are great around kids and other chickens. Mature hens have reddish brown feathers with flecks of white throughout. At approximatly the age of 22 weeks the hens will start laying brown eggs, and they will keep right on laying through colder and hotter climates. They are very friendly with an excellent disposition and do well in colder climates.
